Description

This Chicken Bacon Ranch Stromboli combines tender shredded rotisserie chicken, crispy bacon, and creamy ranch dressing wrapped in golden, flaky pizza dough. It’s a quick and flavorful meal perfect for weeknight dinners or game-day gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Stromboli Filling

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • ½ cup chopped crisp bacon (about 12 slices)
  • ½ cup ranch dressing, plus more for dipping

Dough and Toppings

  • 1 (13.8-ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon ranch seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1–2 tablespoons water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the stromboli.
  2. Prepare Dough: Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a piece of parchment paper placed on a sheet pan, stretching it into a rectangular shape.
  3. Add Cheese: Spread shredded mozzarella evenly down the center of the dough, leaving about an inch empty at both ends and roughly one-third of the dough on either side free.
  4. Add Filling: Top the cheese layer with shredded rotisserie chicken, chopped crisp bacon, and ranch dressing evenly.
  5. Roll Dough: Fold over one side of the dough and tightly roll it up like a cinnamon roll, pinching the seams and ends together securely.
  6. Make Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the large egg with 1 to 2 tablespoons of water to create an egg wash.
  7. Apply Egg Wash and Season: Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on the sheet pan. Brush the top with egg wash, then sprinkle ranch seasoning and chopped fresh parsley on top. Cut a few slits across the top to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the stromboli is golden brown on top.
  9. Serve: Let the stromboli cool slightly, then slice and serve with additional ranch dressing for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for tender, flavorful meat without extra effort.
  • Ensure bacon is crisp before chopping for added texture.
  • Egg wash helps give the stromboli a beautiful golden crust.
  • Slits on top prevent sogginess by allowing steam to escape.
  • Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving for convenience.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispness.
