Description

A refreshing Frozen Mango Margarita made with frozen mango, lime juice, tequila, and a hint of agave syrup, blended to a smooth, sorbet-like texture. Perfect for a tropical twist on the classic margarita, garnished with lime and Tajin seasoning.

Ingredients

Scale

Frozen Mango Margarita

  • 1 lb mango
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • ½ cup triple sec
  • ½ cup agave
  • 1 cup tequila
  • Generous pinch of sea salt

Serving

  • 4 x 8 oz serving glasses
  • Lime wedge for the glass rim
  • Tajin seasoning
  • 4 slices of lime to garnish
  • Fresh mango to garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Place all the margarita ingredients (frozen mango, lime juice, triple sec, agave, tequila, and sea salt) in a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Store if Needed: Use the frozen mango margarita immediately for best texture, or transfer it to an ice cream container and store it in the freezer. Note that it will keep a soft, sorbet-like texture and will not freeze solid.
  3. Prepare Glasses: Rub a lime wedge around the rims of your serving glasses. Dip the rims into Tajin seasoning to coat them evenly. Set the glasses aside.
  4. Garnish Lime Slices: Thread lime slices on cocktail picks and half dip each lime slice in Tajin seasoning for an added spicy citrus garnish.
  5. Serve: Fill the prepared glasses with the frozen mango margarita. Garnish with the Tajin-dusted lime slices and fresh mango pieces. Serve immediately with a thick straw for a delightful sipping experience.

Notes

  • You can increase the mango quantity if you prefer a stronger mango flavor; 1 lb is a guideline.
  • US cups are used in the recipe, but UK or Australian cup measures will also work well.
  • The frozen margarita texture will remain soft and sorbet-like; it won’t freeze solid.
  • Tajin seasoning can be substituted with chili powder and salt if unavailable.
  • Use a high-quality tequila and fresh lime juice for the best taste.
