Description

Ramen Lasagna is a creative twist on traditional lasagna, using ramen noodles instead of pasta sheets. Layered with rich tomato sauce, parmesan, and mozzarella cheese, this baked casserole offers a comforting and cheesy meal that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 4 packets ramen noodles, discard flavor packet
  • 4 cups tomato sauce, divided
  • 2 cups grated parmesan cheese, divided
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8-x-8-inch casserole dish with baking spray. Place the dish on a baking tray and set aside.
  2. Prepare Noodles: Break each square of ramen noodles in half through the middle to fit into the dish.
  3. First Layer: Place one layer of broken ramen noodles at the bottom of the casserole dish. Spread 2 cups of tomato sauce evenly over the noodles. Sprinkle 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Second Layer: Repeat the layering by adding the remaining ramen noodles on top of the first cheese layer. Spread the remaining 2 cups of tomato sauce, then sprinkle the remaining 1 cup parmesan and 1 cup mozzarella cheese over the noodles.
  5. Bake: Bake the lasagna in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  6. Serve: Remove from oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then serve immediately and enjoy your comforting ramen lasagna.

Notes

  • Using low-moisture mozzarella will help prevent excess water in the lasagna.
  • You can add cooked ground beef or vegetables for a more hearty version.
  • If you prefer spicier, add chili flakes or hot sauce into the tomato sauce.
  • This recipe works well with fresh or quick-cook ramen noodles that are uncooked before layering.
  • Cooling the lasagna slightly before cutting helps maintain its shape when serving.
