Ingredients
Scale
Fruit Puree
- 12 oz fresh raspberries
Liquid Mixture
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice, chilled
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 liter (33.8 oz) sparkling water or club soda, chilled
For Serving
- Fresh mint
- Ice
Instructions
- Prepare Raspberry Puree: Place raspberries in a food processor and pulse until well pureed. Force the raspberry puree through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove seeds, resulting in a smooth puree.
- Mix Sweetened Base: In a large pitcher, whisk together cold water and granulated sugar until sugar is fully dissolved. Add honey and mix until well blended to create a sweet base for the lemonade.
- Combine Ingredients: Stir the strained raspberry puree and chilled fresh lemon juice into the sweetened water and honey mixture in the pitcher, blending all flavors together.
- Add Sparkling Water: Pour in chilled sparkling water or club soda and stir gently once to combine without losing too much fizz.
- Serve: Serve the lemonade over ice and garnish with fresh mint for a refreshing presentation. If preparing in advance, add sparkling water just before serving to maintain fizz.
Notes
- For a smoother lemonade, strain the raspberry puree carefully to remove seeds.
- Adjust sugar and honey amounts to taste depending on your preferred sweetness.
- Add sparkling water just before serving if making lemonade ahead to keep it fizzy.
- Fresh mint adds a nice fragrance and flavor but can be omitted if unavailable.
- Use chilled ingredients to keep the lemonade cool and refreshing without needing excessive ice.
